Megrisoft Attended Google SMB Heroes 2017 Event At Chandigarh

On May 25, 2017, Megrisoft Limited attended an event “Google SMB Heroes 2017 organized by Google at Hotel Taj, Sector 17 A, Chandigarh. Google conducted this event to grow digitally and empower the small and medium business Community in the country. Google also exhibit and promote its new products that will help SMB’s to become digitally successful.

The event held at Hotel Taj in City Beautiful and Google announced its North Region winners of SMB Heroes 2017. The SMB Heroes awards received a very good response from all over the country with applications from 142 Cities which includes Hoshiarpur, Rajkot, Rajamundhry, Jamshedpur, Coimbatore, Hisar, Bhimavaram and much more.


The businesses that won SMB Heroes 2017 in North region under each of the categories are Farida Gupta for Business Innovation through Digital, Pen Pundit for Woman Business Leader and Tab Lab for Impacting Change through Digital. The winners were felicitated by Mr. Subodh C Agarwal, (Retd IAS) Advisor, FICCI and former Chief Secretary Punjab with prizes and a round table questionnaire also held with the SMB’s Heroes 2017 winners and they shared their views on their digital journey. While addressing the local SMB’s Shalini Girish, Director – Google Marketing said, “India now has 400 million Internet users” which shows that a large volume is now connected digitally and can find business globally.

Training and Certification

Today Google India also hosted a training workshop at the same location where over 60 SMB’s were certified. Google India also started a Digital unlocked – online and offline training programme so that Indians can enhance their digital skills and SMB’s can grow with the help of digital know-how. At the event, Google also showcased My Business Website which provides a simple way to start the digital journey by creating a free, mobile-optimized website. This feature will provide simple, template, editable websites for SMB’s. My Business Website will be available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, and Malayalam as per Google India.

 

At the end of the event, lunch was organized which was enjoyed by all the participants of the event.
